One Hundred Wishes, by Rohan Candappa, is a fantastic little piece of sunshine. Candappa devotes a page to each wish he has for his loved ones, and I'd like to pass some of those smiles on to you.
"I wish that no matter how much it rains your socks never get wet."
"I wish you a kiss in the moonlight from someone you love."
"I wish that no one ever makes you eat brussel sprouts again."
"I wish you friends that love you for who you are."
"I wish you a mountain to climb and the will to do it."
"I wish you the strength to see the opportunities in your adversities."
"I wish you a big squashy sofa with a cat sleeping on its arm."
"I wish that you see that beauty lies in the shadows as well as in the sun."
"I wish that you find your own path through the forest."
"I wish that whenever you draw you fill the page and use all the colours."
"I wish you the abandon to dance badly at weddings."

I like it. I think I'll pick it up and read it too. :)
the future.
Interesting video. I see it more as ironic than as an anti-woman piece, although it is a bit haunting. Did you help create it?
I might take a sociology class on gender starting on Monday, and that video could be useful.
no irony. it's about being unable to communicate with heterosexual men as a woman without other factors being involved.
its a love song.
Thank you for explaining. I watched it again and that makes sense.
I originally thought it could mean that she, being a woman, wasn't intelligent enough to fit into such a technologically advanced world, but that didn't seem right.
I like your explanation much better. It's beautifuly sad.
Did she write it herself?
I'm curious to know why you posted it here.
yes, she writes it all herself. the girl is a genius.
Thank you for showing me. It was visually compelling and I have that haunting music playing in my head now. It really is good.
You just made me look a little bit crazy - like I was talking to myself on here all night.
Good thing I'm used to being considered eccentric:)
I deleted the comments I wrote that I thought you might want taken off. I enjoyed our conversation, by the way.
What the heck?! Where did all the comments go?
Another blogger and I were having a conversation last night and some things were discussed that the other party didn't want the public to know. I respect that and deleted a few of my responses.
me too, sis.
