I have two years more education than my new editor and the other reporter combined.
I think I'm becoming a snob in this place where most people haven't completed more than their high school degrees.
I'm the only reporter left in the office. The old and new editors and the other reporter have been gone almost an hour now. It's hot in here and I'm writing a grocery list.

Jesus, I feel your pain. When I was a lowly worm of an overnight assignment desk dork, and later a puny producer, I got to watch my superiors run out for a smoke and stuff all the time. Inevitably, they came back inside and asked me to do their dirty work. Aaaarghh!

I like my job much better today. The new editor seems like a nice guy and I might be allowed to have my own column!
