I met a boy on the weekend. My really smart perfect friend had a few people over on Friday and we watched some football, drank some beer and talked a bit about literature. The boy also likes Frankenstein, which is a definate plus. I once decided (rather temporarily) that I'd never date anyone who hadn't read and loved the story. All of a sudden it was 3:00 am and we were tossing my football in the street in the dark. It was fun.

Yay!
One of my friends used to compare and intemperate everything he heard or read with Frankenstein. It got old explaining to him that not everything since Mary Shelly has been based on the story of Frankenstein. I do admire her for making that monster. I can't think of anyone else who created a monster with no myth or legend to back it.
